"I learned with sadness of the death of Brigadier Hervé Servius," the minister said on the social network X (formerly Twitter), adding that he sent his "support and sincere condolences to his family and brothers in arms." Hervé Servius belonged to the 35th Parachute Artillery Regiment based in Tarbes in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
Created in 1873, the 35th RAP is the only French regiment specialized in parachute artillery and emergency support.
