A woman working in a school in Cuincy (North) was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention for sexual abuse of 11 children aged 7 to 10, said Thursday the prosecutor's office of Douai, confirming information from France 3.
She was indicted and remanded in custody on November 30 "for sexual assault on minors under the age of 15 and corruption of minors under the age of 15, aggravated by the fact that the acts were committed inside a school," the Douai prosecutor told AFP. Frédéric Fourtoy. The public prosecutor's office had received a report from the mayor of Cuincy, who had been warned of "touching a certain number of children", adds Frédéric Fourtoy.
The employee denies the facts
According to France 3, the defendant is a 21-year-old extracurricular employee, hired by the town hall of Cuincy at the beginning of September to carry out cleaning in the establishment.
The mother of a child who was touched by this employee testified to our colleagues. "The children started talking when the girl asked them to touch her breasts and her nippet, repeating that it was funny and that if they didn't, she would kill their parents," she said.
The incident is said to have lasted at least six weeks. The suspect "denies all the facts of which she is accused," said the Douai prosecutor.
