Drama in Albertville. A man was shot dead and found dead in one of the corridors of his building late Wednesday afternoon, report our colleagues from the Dauphiné Libéré and France Bleu. The perpetrator of the fatal shooting is believed to be another resident of the residence, according to the same sources.
On Wednesday, at around 17:30 p.m., residents of the Allobroges residence heard at least one gunshot coming from one of the buildings. Quickly notified, the emergency services could only confirm the death of a man once they arrived on the scene. The victim is 47 years old.
The shooter is also said to have called for help
Still according to the Dauphiné Libéré and France Bleu, a neighborhood conflict seems to be at the origin of this drama. The alleged perpetrator of this murder is another resident of the residence. The 37-year-old is also said to have called for help after fatally shooting his neighbour.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident, our colleagues report. A search was conducted at his home, and the murder weapon was reportedly recovered. An investigation for intentional homicide has been opened by the Albertville prosecutor's office, and an autopsy is to be carried out on the victim's body.
