Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana were present, along with other politicians and senior IDF officials. "Surf our youngest son, mother and I stand here with a large crowd to pay their last respects," father Gadi Eizenkot tearfully eulogized his son, the youngest of five children. "You were born 25 years ago, when I served as a Golani brigade commander," his father eulogized him. "My mother informed me that she was on her way to the hospital, I was in a hurry from the Golan Heights, but I arrived late. Three months ago, on a family trip to Portugal, I mentioned this and you told me in one of our soul talks that I had been missing you for many, many years.

"I am sure that the State of Israel will be strong, developed and just - as you always used to criticize things you didn't like about what was happening here. I promise you that we will continue to be a close-knit and happy family so that your sacrifice and that of the fallen were not in vain. I salute you and pledge to you that we will do everything so that we will be worthy of contributing to the right decisions for those who sacrificed for your comrades in arms and for the entire Israeli people."
