In Geneva

The Swiss voted 50.7% for the popular initiative "

Yes to responsible companies

" but not their cantons.

"

Switzerland missed an opportunity to impose effective regulations on multinationals to oblige them to protect human rights and the environment,

" Amnesty International said after the results.
