Coronavirus in France: 437 deaths, including 295 in hospitals, in 24 hours

The new coronavirus has caused 437 additional deaths in 24 hours in France for a total of 23,293 deaths since March 1, announced Monday the Directorate General of Health (DGS), which also reported a continuous decline in the number of people hospitalized, especially in intensive care.

Of all the deaths, 14,497 occurred in hospitals and 8,796 in social and medico-social establishments, mainly Ehpad, specified the DGS in a press release.

The number of people hospitalized for their coronavirus contamination fell to 28,055, 162 less than Sunday. Resuscitation services treated 4,608 patients with COVID-19 on Monday, 74 less.
