Diane von Fürstenberg: Woman in Charge is set to premiere on Hulu on June 25. The Belgian fashion designer, famous for her wrap dress, is celebrating her 50th career this year.

Her work has left an indelible mark on the world of fashion but also on the place of women in this world dominated by men. The project is also described as "an unprecedented look into the non-stop life of a cultural luminary." The documentary is the work of Oscar-winning Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton, director of A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness, which airs on CNN on Sunday, May 28. The designer, now 77 years old, launched her emblematic “wrap dress” in 1974, a garment still sold by the house that bears her name. The documentary sets out to retrace the career of the designer and highlight her legacy. It is also through her eyes that directors Sharmeen Obaid and Trisha Dalton have chosen to tell the story of the influence of this popess of fashion.
