Patrick Canié, 58, confessed thirteen years after the facts to being the murderer of Henri Rozès on May 6, 2007. The victim, hemiplegic, was found dead on the sofa of his accommodation located on the ground floor of this two-story HLM building.

The accused, with a self-centered personality and who also suffered from physical difficulties linked to his cruralgia, went himself to the police in August 2020 even though the case had been dismissed in 2009.
