Twenty years of criminal imprisonment for having killed his disabled neighbor and friend, a sentence heavier than the requisitions of the attorney general. The jurors of the Haute-Garonne Assize Court were not convinced by the explanations of Patrick Canié, 58, who confessed thirteen years after the facts to being the murderer of Henri Rozès on May 6, 2007 in their residence of Plaisance-du-Touch. Now aged 58, he claimed to have been overtaken by his conscience.
The victim, hemiplegic, was found dead on the sofa of his accommodation located on the ground floor of this two-story HLM building. The accused, with a self-centered personality and who also suffered from physical difficulties linked to his cruralgia, went himself to the police in August 2020 even though the case had been dismissed in 2009.
