A prison officer from Fresnes (Val-de-Marne) was incarcerated, as part of an investigation opened in court in Créteil. Stationed at the Fresnes men's remand center, this prison officer was placed in pre-trial detention.

The investigation will notably have to determine whether she was able to supply cannabis to detainees. No official information has been provided at this stage on the nature of the objects illicitly introduced. Other personnel, before her, have already had to be held accountable to the courts. Last month, six guards at the Réau prison (Seine-et- Marne) were indicted, including two imprisoned, for having participated in various trafficking - notably telephones, alcohol, and narcotics - within the prison. In March 2023, another 39-year-old, stationed at the La Talaudière penitentiary center (Loire), was sentenced to three years in prison. He managed to smuggle food, game consoles, cell phones, drugs, and even an inflatable swimming pool into the prison.
