The long-awaited debate between the candidates for the Paris City Hall will take place. It will be Wednesday March 4 at 8:45 p.m. on LCI. Presented by David Pujadas, "The Great Confrontation. The time to choose ”will oppose the seven main candidates, those who will obtain at least 5% of the voting intentions in the polls. Suffice to say that at the moment, the outgoing mayor Anne Hidalgo should be present on the chain of the news channel as well as a priori her main competitors to date: Rachida Dati (LR), Agnès Buzyn (LREM), Cédric Villani (dissident), David Belliard (Ecologists), Danielle Simonnet (LFI) and Serge Federbusch (RN).
The organization of this debate caused a real headache, all the news channels having made offers without finding a solution. The most scrutinized municipal political battle, which has already seen one of its main candidates, Benjamin Griveaux, withdraw after the scandal of a sexual video and be replaced at short notice by the former Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn, was squeezed between BFMTV, LCI and France Télévisions. A great oral and a debate
The show scheduled for March 4 will take place in two parts. The first, which will last until 9:30 p.m., will take the form of a large oral presentation of the candidates. It will be followed by a debate until 11:30 p.m. and during which applicants for the mayor of Paris will be questioned on four main themes: security, cleanliness, ecology and housing.
