The Ukrainian parliament, Verkhovna Rada, has approved the resignation of Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk. The decision was approved with a favorable vote of 353, well beyond the 226 votes required. "Despite some achievements, the government has made a number of mistakes that Ukrainian citizens cannot tolerate," said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Now, according to UNIAN, this entails the resignation of the whole government.

"Everyone understands the main question: the activity of the Ukrainian government. We are objective, the government has brought results. They are the lowest inflation, the rates of the Ukrainian National Bank, the contrast to the gray markets, in particular the game of 'gambling and illegal service stations, the start of privatization of state-owned enterprises, which have been looted for all these years, credits for small and medium-sized enterprises and the reduction of the role of the state in the economy,' said Zelensky at the Rada. "But the truth is, that's not enough for Ukrainians," he said. Honcharuk's government "was a government of new faces, but faces are not enough: new brains and hearts are needed," added Zelensky.

The president appointed Denis Shmygal as new prime minister and asked parliament to approve the choice. Tass reports it. In the government of ex-premier Goncharuk Shmygal he was deputy prime minister and minister of development of communities and territories.
