(ANSA) - MOSCOW, MARCH 4 - The Ukrainian parliament, VerkhovnaRada, has approved the resignation of Prime Minister OleksiyHoncharuk. The decision was approved with a favorable vote of 353, well beyond the 226 votes required. "Despite some results, the government has made a number of mistakes that Ukrainian citizens cannot tolerate," said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This results in the emissions of the whole government.
"Everyone understands the main question: the Ukrainian government's activity. We are objective, the government has brought its results," Zelensky told Rada, the Kiev parliament.
"But the truth is that this is not enough for Ukrainians," he said. Honcharuk's government "was a government of new faces, but faces are not enough: new brains and hearts are needed," added Zelensky, who shortly thereafter appointed Denis Shmygal new prime minister and asked the Rada to approve the leave, reports the Tass. Shmygal was deputy prime minister.
