Without entering the hospital: An inpatient team of doctor and nurse from Ichilov will wait in the parking lot of the Weizmann Center for blood cancer patients and give them a subcutaneous injection to maintain the therapeutic continuum.

The hospital has initiated a project initiated by the myeloma service manager in the Ichilov hematologic system, Dr. Yael Cohen, to allow the continuation of the routine routine for those dealing with high-risk hematologic diseases - and to prevent their condition from deteriorating. Each patient will be able to arrive with his vehicle while being matched to the confined area in the car park, where the medical team will await him with his designated injection. Sitting in his car, the patient receives the injection and leaves a few minutes later.
"In this way, the patient avoids exposure to other patients," Dr. Cohen explained. "There is no need to get on the elevators and walk around the corridors of the hospital."
According to her, sympathetic responses to the venture have so far been received. "Patients are extremely satisfied and appreciate the possibility of safely continuing treatment," Dr. Cohen said.
