(ANSAmed) - LUBIANA, MAY 2 - More than 3,500 people on bicycles met yesterday evening in the center of the Slovenian capital Ljubljana to protest against the too restrictive measures taken by the government to combat the coronavirus pandemic, and for alleged irregularities in the supply of medical equipment protective. Similar protests were also held in Maribor, Nova Gorica and other locations in the country, coordinated by the non-governmental organization Gibanje Ops (Movement for the Awareness of the inhabitants of Slovenia). In Ljubljana, about a hundred demonstrators had already met in the morning in front of the Parliament building and in the surrounding areas, occupying benches and public spaces. However, the ban on gathering and other social housing measures led to the intervention of the police, which carried out 58 identification and unfermo procedures for violation of the law on public gatherings.
