Prime Minister Jean Castex announced measures for young people and students on Wednesday during his general policy speech to the National Assembly. Among its announcements, a meal at one euro for scholarship students in university restaurants from the next school year.
The objective: "to support students, especially the most modest, who find themselves in difficulty with less access to odd jobs" explained the head of government. Currently, these meals cost "3.30 euros," said Castex.
For young workers, the Prime Minister announced the establishment of "an exceptional device to reduce the cost of work by up to 4,000 euros per year in all companies" and "300,000 career paths and integration contracts" .
