Two young people were attacked and insulted in Padua for kissing each other as they walked hand in hand through the center of Padua: a friend who tried to defend them was hit with a glass in the head and had to seek medical attention to suturing a wound to the head.
The gesture, which took place on Friday evening in front of the town hall, was made by a group of four boys and two girls.
"We decided to tell what happened because we are tired of having to deal with homophobic episodes. We want to ensure that these manifestations of hatred and discrimination no longer exist": the two young men attacked say this in a video released on social media. "I also think of the young Willy - adds one of the two - killed by toxic masculinity and these careless behaviors in the face of the community and diversity. The time has come to say enough".
