(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 25 - "I will seek you" is a powerful and dramatic TV series set in Rome, where a former policeman Valerio (Alessandro Gassmann) investigates with the help of an excollega (Maya Sansa) what seems to be suicide of his son Ettore, rediscovering the sense of fatherhood and finding the strength to start over.

Directed by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli.

It arrives on the flagship of the public service from Monday 5 October in 4 early evenings at 21.25 (and previewed on RaiPlay on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4).

A Rai Fiction-Publispei co-production.

"It is a very intentional story - underlines Gassmann - that has deeply affected me, because I am the father of a 20-year-old and because in society there is very little mutual listening. I will talk about the lack of dialogue, with imperfect characters. Carry the pain on my shoulders. character was an important decision for me. "

A strong story, which relies on the choices, sometimes random, of life and on the maze of regrets of a father who, at the news of the suicide of his son Ettore, decides to investigate that sudden death and for too many inexplicable ways for a boy like his, engaged in social.

"A difficult human journey with the weight of a past made up of many mistakes and studded with guilt senses", says the actor again speaking of the series that he has shot at night.

Valerio (Gassmann) decides to return to Rome to find out the truth about the young man's death.

Gianni (AndreaSartoretti) hosts him, his brother with whom he has not had relations for years, also a policeman, who lives in the suburbs with his wife.

Sara helps him in the investigation and becomes his point of reference.

The actor, who with his film Non Odiare was very positively received at the Venice Film Festival, continues: "I am 55 years old, I have made many films, a lot of television, a lot of theater, I now want to make characters suitable for my age and immerse myself in roles that have the courage to tell stories that I share and that I would like to see on TV or at the cinema ".
