A suspected burglar in distress was rescued from a house wall in Vienna with a turntable ladder.
Local residents discovered the exhausted man on the facade of the house in the early hours of the morning, the police said.
The fire brigade moved in with a jumping sheet, rescuers then took the man who was calling for help down with a turntable ladder.
Then it turned out that the 25-year-old was surprised by the resident when breaking into an apartment on the third floor and fled via the balcony.
According to the information, the police secured several hundred euros in cash and arrested the man.
