With two machetes and a hammer, three men in Bremen in the Sebaldsbrück district had a nocturnal argument - one of them was seriously injured and had to undergo emergency surgery.
According to the police, two 19-year-olds felt disturbed early on Sunday morning by a 27-year-old and his 23-year-old friend, because they loudly walked past their apartment.
First, those involved argued through an open window.
Then the two 19-year-olds armed themselves with machetes and came to the door.
The 27-year-old then pulled a sharp emergency hammer, which is intended for breaking windows, and hit the two 19-year-olds.
He injured one of the men so badly that he suffered a skull fracture.
He had to be taken to a hospital for emergency surgery.
His companion of the same age suffered a laceration on the head and also had to be treated in a clinic.
The 27-year-old was caught a little later and was temporarily arrested.
Everyone involved had drunk alcohol.
