Health Minister Yuli Edelstein announced today (Sunday) during his visit to the IDF's corona wards at Rambam Hospital that he would present an outline for the release of the closure, and demanded that the Ministry of Finance provide full compensation to business owners and self-employed affected by the restrictions.

He said, "On Tuesday I will present an outline of hope. The beginning of a gradual, safe and responsible release that has the potential to keep the morbidity low in a way that the contagion chain amputation system will catch the infected. It is possible to do so provided we are not drawn to populism."

"Everyone sees the data of a certain decrease in morbidity. But whoever comes out with calls to open everything immediately - destroys the economy and the lives of the people, of those who have suffered enough. It is impossible to open and within a few weeks bring about further closure."

He further sharply attacked the Ministry of Finance and said: "We as a government must ensure that those business owners and people who have lost a lot, receive not only out-of-pocket expenses, but in real time full compensation. And I intend to fight for it. There can be no situation we demand restrictions and then self-employed and non-business "We received the required compensation. I will not let this situation continue. There are encouraging data. Everything else depends on each of us."
