A rescuer calms four-year-old Ayda. The girl is stuck under the rubble of a house in Izmir that collapsed in the strong earthquake last Friday. A little later the child is rescued - 91 hours after the quake. According to the civil protection, a member of the rescue workers saw the girl wave. On the way to the ambulance, Ayda calls for her mother. This is suspected to be under the rubble. At least 100 people died in the earthquake that hit the Aegean Sea on Friday with a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter scale, followed by around 40 strong aftershocks. Numerous houses were damaged or collapsed. According to the Ministry of Health, Ayda's condition is good. On the way to the hospital she was conscious - and apparently hungry and thirsty, as she asked the paramedic for kofte and ayran, meatballs and yoghurt drink. A three-year-old and a 14-year-old were rescued from the rubble on Monday. The search for survivors continues in five buildings.
