The patient who was administered

chlorine dioxide

at the

Otamendi sanatorium died

.

It had been by order of a federal judge, in a judicial decision that caused rejection in the medical community since it is

an unauthorized treatment.

As Clarín was able to confirm, the 92-year-old patient died after the controversial treatment had been applied.

"After application, the patient worsened in respiratory and

died within 24 hours,

" reported from the sanatorium.

The court ruling had generated

rejection from the medical staff of the clinic and health professionals

because the substance is not endorsed as a treatment or prevention against this disease, or any other.

The magistrate, in his controversial measure, protected a request from the patient's family, which was

desperate to find a treatment that saves his life.
