"Taking into account the regulatory and statutory framework and the lines that the privatization program will follow, the sale of a share of the capital of Poste Italiane will, however, be aimed at increasing the value of the Poste Group, while guaranteeing, at the same time, the quality of services and maintaining employment levels".
Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said this while responding in question time to a question on the privatization of Poste, recalling that on 25 January the Council of Ministers approved a Prime Ministerial Decree which "will be sent to the competent parliamentary commissions to obtain their opinion before starting the operation".
