Munich - With the words "There is a truck burning at the Allacher Tunnel ", numerous callers reported to the Integrated Control Center (ILS) in Munich shortly after Saturday afternoon (February 1 ).

Due to different locations, it was not immediately possible to determine exactly where the accident location was on the A99 . The fire department said so. The ILS therefore dispatched emergency services in both directions to be on site as quickly as possible. Since the A99 is in this area alternately on city and district area, the volunteer fire brigade Oberschleißheim was also informed. A99 / Allacher Tunnel: Burning truck damages noise barrier
It turned out that not only was the truck badly damaged, but the noise barrier on the motorway was also affected by the intense heat. As a result, security measures had to be taken on the vehicle and parts of the noise barrier had to be removed.
The 63-year-old driver came to a hospital and his vehicle is a total economic loss. The damage to the noise barrier cannot currently be quantified.
