The workshops of the General Electricity Company of Homs continue to repair faults in low and medium tension networks in the countryside and the city under the prevailing weather conditions.
The director of the company, Eng. Mosleh Al-Hassan, stated in a statement to the correspondent of Sana that the air depression and the strong winds during the past two days, which have continued until now, have caused damage to the medium tension lines, especially in the western countryside of the city, the medium tension line “Mashta al-Helu Hasur Kfram Mariamin” and the medium tension line in the village of Mashta’a in Wadi al-Nadhari .
Al-Hassan added that the workshops are currently working to fix the faults of the medium tension line in the village of Al-Mashtiya and the village of Al-Zaafarana in the western Homs countryside, and the northern Fatafaya Al-Qusayr and the low-tension board in the village of Sanoun in the western Homs countryside, pointing out that the workshops worked until late hours yesterday to fix the big malfunction of the medium tension line "Mashta" Al-Helo Hasour Kfram Mariamin ”and his return to service.
And Al-Hassan indicated that most of the faults in the city are concentrated on the low tension network in the neighborhoods of “Karm al-Lawz, Karm al-Zaytoun, IDPs, Abbasiyeh, Eastern Armenians, al-Baydah, and al-Sabeel neighborhood”.
Al-Hassan explained that the frequent breakdowns came as a result of heavy loads and the fall of some trees on the tension lines due to strong winds, noting the efforts of emergency workers to fix the faults despite the weather conditions, noting that the workshops are in a state of full alert to maintain any breakdowns in the countryside and the city.
