Landslide on sp25 Val di Vara, road towards Tuscany interrupted - Last hour. A movement of the slope above the road has led to debris occupying part of the roadway, making it necessary to block traffic in the Orneto area.
The road has been affected by continuous closures during significant weather events since at least 2018. In recent days the Province of La Spezia has reported over thirty interventions due to falling stones and soil, cutting of branches and unsafe trees.
