Shock in France: If she murdered her baby daughter on her first birthday in a pre-planned act since the beginning of December, prosecutors have reported in the city of Anjé in western France.

Vanilla's baby's body was found by authorities in a clothing recycling position on Tuesday. This is after the mother, 39-year-old Natalie Stefan who is known to the city's welfare authorities, admitted to committing the act.

French prosecutor Eric Bouier said at a press conference that Vanilla was murdered on Friday, so she was to celebrate her first birthday. He noted that the mother left her home around 11:00 am. She was to return her daughter to the child welfare authority, where she was treated. But apparently, the mother kidnapped and murdered her. In light of the fact that the mother planned the act in advance, the plaintiff stated that under French criminal law it was a murder. He also noted that the mother decided to murder her daughter on December 3, 2019, the day she was released from a welfare center.

Vanilla's disappearance has attracted media attention in France. The mother initially gave several versions to her investigators before admitting the murder, but police said she should be treated with caution in light of her mental state. Later it became clear that there was a correlation between the pathological findings and the confession of the mother, who strangled to death her daughter. The shocked welfare workers who treated the mother and daughter noted that they had not noticed any early signs of the appalling fact.

Plaintiff Boyer stated that the welfare authorities could not have foreseen the act and that no mistake had been made. As proof of this, it is alleged that the mother was able to find temporary residence.
