"Coffins" and "Death to Israel": Iran marks 41 years of Islamic revolution
Across the Islamic Republic, tens of thousands of people took to the streets, marking the anniversary of the overthrow of the Shah's rule. This is in light of the tensions with the US after the Suleimani assassination. Missiles were presented at several rallies, and protesters called for calls against the US and Israel.

The rallies, which were broadcast on official television, showed protesters holding signs "Death to America" and "Death to Israel". Others displayed displays of American soldiers' coffins, and missiles were displayed at several locations. On television, archive images of missile launches and underground missile repositories were broadcast, as every year.
The events are marked a month after Iran and the United States were close to total war, following the assassination of General Qassem Suleimani in Baghdad and the Iranian missile attack on Iraq days later. Tensions between the two bitter enemies, whose relations were severed after the Shah regime was overthrown in 1979, have risen steadily since US President Donald Trump resigned from the 2018 nuclear agreement. Tehran refuses to return to the negotiating table until the sanctions have been removed since. While Trump wants the new agreement to include restrictions on its missile program and operations in the Middle East.

We have never built missiles and stored them for aggression. We assure all the neighbors and peoples in the area that we want to live in coexistence and peace," Rouhani said at a 40-day event to eliminate Sulimani.
