Dachau - Managing Director Gerd Koslowski will leave Amper-Kliniken AG Dachau at the end of the month. The 49-year-old chief of the Dachau and Indersdorf hospitals "received an offer that he could not refuse," said District Administrator Stefan Löwl. In concrete terms, Koslowski will move to the Catholic Youth Welfare Department of the Diocese of Augsburg (KJF), where he will assume the position of Board Member for Medicine. A successor for him has not yet been determined.
"I very much regret that he is leaving," said Löwl, "he has done a very good job in the past few months and has led the clinic into a very calm fairway." Reminder: Before Koslowski's arrival in February 2018, the Dachau Clinic was over several times serious shortcomings in maintenance and cleanliness that hit the headlines. Koslowski himself was preceded by the call that he would like to attack his employers. Prior to joining Dachau, Koslowski worked for Sana Klinik GmbH and at the University of Munich Clinic in Großhadern.
But during his two years in Dachau, the 49-year-old even earned the respect of the works council. "He tried very hard for the clinics and achieved a lot," says Martin Tobies, Chairman of the Works Council of Amper Kliniken AG, who does not like the fact that a new managing director is coming after just two years. "This is bad for the works council because you have to pull yourself together again," says Tobies.
Farewell to Koslowski himself “is not so easy because I felt very comfortable in Dachau”. He regularly cycled the 17 kilometers from his home in Fürstenfeldbruck. And precisely because he has to stop in Dachau after only two years and have to change his bike by car to come to Augsburg, “I was torn when it came to making decisions. Only: I now have the opportunity to work as a board member at one of the largest social enterprises in Bavaria with over 70 institutions and five hospitals, ”says Koslowski, and you don't get such an offer every day.
Koslowski's short term in Dachau is criticized by the free voters of Dachau. In a press release, faction chairman Sebastian Leiß calls for "continuity in the clinic, especially in the personnel area, within just four years, given the fourth change of staff at the top of the clinic". Leiß also finds the information policy of the Supervisory Board remarkable. It was only by chance that he found out about the clinic director's departure from the job posting on the Internet and wanted information and information. "Obviously there is a lack of communication," says Leiß. Therefore, the district committees would have to exercise the rights of information and participation of the district better and more targeted as shareholders in the future.
Löwl rejects this criticism. "The responsible district committee was informed by me in a closed session," said the district administrator, who said that Koslowski said that good people in the industry were in demand and that the clinic manager was now climbing the career ladder.
