The police arrested at least 23 men and women, including three members of the Tai Po District, Wen Nianzhi, Yao Junhao and Lian Yan, and three parliamentary assistants until last night (9th). They have not yet been released on bail. Until 1am today (10th), the "Dai Po Democratic Alliance" stated on Facebook that three arrested district councillors and assistants have completed bail procedures and returned home one after the other. Yao and Lian also updated facebook afterwards, saying We will continue to deal with masks later.
The incident began in the afternoon the day before. Demonstrators protested and listed the general clinic of the Tai Po Jockey Club as a designated clinic for pneumonia. Some people blocked the road with debris and threw debris at the police. At least 10 people (aged 13 to 68) ) Were arrested; and that night, the demonstrators gathered again on Anbang Road and Taihe Road in Tai Po, and 13 men and women (aged 15 to 63) were arrested, including Wen Nianzhi, Yao Junhao and Lian Ye.
