Fundraising from the Eritrean diaspora community is nothing new. A major share of the state's economy is based on various payments that overseas construction sends to their families in the state, of which the government collects taxes. Against this backdrop, the Eritrean government announced full emergency mobilization from the Eritrean diaspora around the world in favor of the Corona fight, and according to a local newspaper report a week ago, the amounts were already over $ 1 million. 

The Eritrean community in Israel is one of the largest Eritrean diaspora in the world, and as such, it provides a small portion of the amounts routinely sent to the homeland. For example, last February's publication showed that it had donated $ 162,000 to the Eritrean Army Disability Fund. As stated in the Corona Appeal, the Eritreans in Israel collected NIS 883,000, a sizable share of the total state revenue from the Eritrean diaspora in the world. 

The mobilization of the Eritreans in Israel for the benefit of their government and for the benefit of their military veterans is added to a series of questions about their refugee claims.
