The anti-drug branch in Damascus arrested six drug traffickers and users, and confiscated more than 40 kg of hashish.
In a statement, SANA received a copy of it, the Ministry of the Interior clarified that as a result of the intensive efforts and follow-up, the anti-drug branch in Damascus was able to monitor and apprehend a number of drug traffickers, and by interrogating them, they confessed to possession, abuse and promotion of narcotic drugs.
The ministry indicated that two people were arrested on the Southern Highway Highway on a private car in which 18 kilograms of hashish were found hidden in a bag with a gun, a handgun, ammunition, and a radio. By transferring and promoting other quantities: 5 kg anesthetic cannabis, 5 grams of heroin and 5,000 Captagon tablets.
Also, a person was arrested in the Al-Zabaltani locality on a private van pickup song, in possession of two and a half kilograms of hashish hidden secretly, while two people were arrested in the same area in the possession of them found the amount of two kilograms of hashish.
The Ministry indicated that the aforementioned cars were seized and weapons, ammunition and narcotics were confiscated, and investigations are still ongoing with those arrested to uncover who is proven to be involved in this scourge and arrest him and take the necessary legal measures against him.
