This afternoon (24th), the student organization Xian Xuesizheng, together with Tsuen Wan District Councillors Chen Jianqin and Xie Minze, stood at Baijie Station off Dihuang Plaza, Taihe Road, Tsuen Wan, to support 12 Hong Kong residents being detained in the Mainland.
By 6 o'clock in the evening, a large number of uniformed police officers arrived at the scene and pulled up the orange cordon. Some people at the scene violated the gathering restriction order and issued votes to 12 people, including Cheung Chau District Councillor Liang Guohao.
12 Hong Kong people involved in absconding have been detained in the Mainland for more than two months. This afternoon, a student organization and district councillors distributed transparent cards with the names of 12 Hong Kong people in Tsuen Wan to call on the public to continue to pay attention to the incident.
At about 6 o'clock in the evening, a large number of uniformed police officers arrived at the scene and pulled up orange belts to blockade the scene, accusing those present of violating the gathering restriction order and issuing a ticket for violation of the gathering restriction order, including Cheung Chau District Councillor Liang Guohao.
Liang Guohao stated on Facebook that the police pulled up an orange belt to issue a ticket to him and others without any communication or warning.
Tsuen Wan District Councillor Chen Jianqin said on Facebook that the street station was unreasonably enclosed.
Police said that at about 4 o'clock this afternoon, people gathered at the junction of Tai Ho Road and On Wing Street in Tsuen Wan, suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Regulations (Chapter 599G).
The police then issued 13 fixed penalty notices to 8 men and 4 women, aged between 15 and 62.
