The northeast monsoon is affecting southern China; the cloud belt associated with tropical storm Ai Tao is covering the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong.
At 5 o'clock in the morning, Ai Tao gathered about 460 kilometers east-northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, and was expected to move westward at a speed of about 15 kilometers per hour to southern Vietnam.
At the same time, the tropical storm circumnavigated about 910 kilometers east-southeast of Manila and is expected to move northwest at a speed of about 18 kilometers per hour, moving towards the Philippines and gradually increasing.
