The municipality of Herrsching has been dealing with the issue of twin streets for almost two years - and still has no solution. The municipality of Herrsching has been dealing with the issue of twin streets for almost two years - and still has no solution.

Wolfgang Schnetzer, who initiated the topic, is disappointed - and with him now, according to Dr.

Matthias Pickart, who, like Schnetzer, lives on Kapellenweg.

Schnetzer in Breitbrunn, Pickart in Herrsching.

The community justifies its position with the fact that the residents cannot agree (we reported).

And without a majority of residents, she doesn't want to do anything.

Herrsching -

Pickart initiated the renaming of Kapellenweg in Herrsching in 2019, but in the end his neighbors could not agree on a new street name.

He would have been very interested in a renaming, he now describes to the Starnberg Mercury.

The emergency doctor has already gone to Breitbrunn twice instead of Herrsching - although the control center had been advised of the problem, says Pickart.

Once it was himself, another time it was his mother-in-law.

"In the municipal council meeting it was claimed that there were numerous street double names in Munich," says the doctor and claims the opposite.

40 years ago he himself drove numerous rescue missions in Munich.

In the four districts served by the integrated rescue control center in Fürstenfeldbruck, double street names are rare, says shift leader Markus Kern.

Mayor Christian Schiller had received the information there that the geographic coordinates of the callers were automatically recorded and digitally passed on to almost a meter.

He relied on that.

Kern cannot confirm this, unless someone does not know where he is.

Then the cell phone or the connection would be located.

Nevertheless, Kern cannot explain the confusion if someone gives the address on the phone with a reference to the district.

"There shouldn't be any mix-ups, unless the address is wrong or inaccurate." But you can't question every emergency call that is actually unambiguous, says Kern.

Pickart points out that not all rescue workers are familiar with the area.

“Apart from these problems, the daily harassment should also be mentioned.

In the last week we had six incidents - five wrongly delivered, partly heavy packages and one delivery of concrete, whereby the truck driver was very upset because he was expected on the construction site. "Pickart speaks of a" life-threatening condition ".

The municipality has already been asked by the Starnberg District Office to comment on its decision to keep the street names.

The dispute over the twin streets will remain exciting.
