The State Administration for Market Regulation in China announced that Mitsubishi Motors in China decided to recall 3,692 vehicles from the Chinese market due to a defect in the rear brakes, which leads to safety risks.
Xinhua quoted the administration as saying in a statement posted on its website today that the recall process is scheduled to start on the tenth of this month and includes 3662 imported Outlander cars and 30 other homemade ones.
She added that this mechanical defect would allow water to enter and cause brake wear and hinder its operation and lower the vehicle when parked.
The statement indicated that car companies promised to replace the defective brakes free of charge.
