Two men in their 40s, residents of the cities of Rosh HaAyin and Rehovot, were arrested on suspicion of vandalism and vandalism of a memorial to IDF casualties in the Maccabim cemetery, near Modi'in.
Among other things, the two are suspected of having spray-painted the monuments: "War at the door" and "died in vain."
In a hearing held today on the police's request to extend their detention, the court released the two suspects on conditions of expulsion and self-bail.
Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
