A vehicle caught fire in Tai Po late at night. The incident occurred at 10:41 pm yesterday (26th). A road engineering vehicle was travelling along Ting Kok Road towards Tai Mei Tuk. When it approached Yu Zhang Tang, there were other drivers. People found fire and smoke from the rear of the road construction vehicle and immediately notified the people in the vehicle. Four workers got off the vehicle and took shelter.
After receiving the report, the firefighter dispatched two breathing apparatus teams and used two jets to fight the blaze. The fire was put out at 11.18pm.
It was seen at the scene that the rear of the car was severely blackened. In addition to the paint used to place the line, two gas cylinders were also affected by the fire. Fortunately, the firefighters put it out in time.
No one was injured in the incident. After the initial fire investigation, it was believed that the cause of the fire was beyond suspicious, and relevant departments were notified to follow up.
