A vehicle caught fire in Tai Po late at night. The incident occurred at 10:41 pm yesterday (26th). A road construction vehicle was driving along Ting Kok Road towards Tai Mei Du. When it approached Yu Zhang Tang, there were other drivers. People found fire and smoke from the rear of the road construction vehicle and immediately notified the people in the vehicle that at least four workers got off the vehicle and took shelter.
After receiving the report, the firefighter dispatched two breathing apparatus teams and used two jets to fight the blaze. The fire was put out at 11.18pm.
It was seen at the scene that apart from the paint used to line the rear of the car, there were also two suspected LPG cylinders. Fortunately, they were not affected by the fire.
No one was injured in the incident. After the initial fire investigation, it was believed that the cause of the fire was beyond suspicious, and relevant departments were notified to follow up.
