Smutrich implicitly attacked Bennett: "I can not give a hand to the desecration of Shabbat"

Tonight (Saturday), the chairman of the National Union, Bezalel Smutrich, implicitly attacked the chairman of the right, Naftali Bennett, for being interviewed for the "Ofira and Berkowitz" program that aired on Friday evening, against the background of contacts between the two on a joint run of the lists.

Smutrich did not mention Bennett's name in the post, but explained that he would not be interviewed for a program that airs on Saturday, even though it was stated on the broadcast that the segment was filmed on a weekday.

"As a Knesset member in a religious party, which takes responsibility for the Jewish identity of the State of Israel, including the observance of Shabbat in the public sphere, I cannot lend a hand to the desecration of Shabbat, and participate in programs that do so."

Smutrich's price for a joint run was lower.

In recent weeks he has wanted to get four places in the top ten, as well as more places further down the list.

Since the party recorded a drop in polls, following Gideon Saar's announcement of the formation of a new party, the price has risen: five seats in the top ten.

However, a political source claimed that Smutrich's demand may have been intended to achieve only four places, but higher ones - 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th places, some of which Bennett is unwilling to give up.
