US President Joe Biden stressed the importance of cooperation with Russia on the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Disarmament, "START III".
Biden said in a press conference today, quoted by Reuters, that his country wants to extend the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Disarmament with Russia, despite what he described as its "concern" about the arrest of Russian politician Alexei Navalny.
The White House spokeswoman, Jane Sackey, announced earlier today that Biden "will keep all options on the table while discussing the response to Navalny's arrest."
This coincides with the Biden administration starting negotiations with Russia on extending the third version of the offensive strategic disarmament treaty for an additional 5 years.
