Mexican businessman Carlos Slim Helú has had a favorable evolution after testing positive for COVID-19 more than a week after presenting minor symptoms, Carlos Slim Domit, one of the tycoon's sons, reported on his Twitter account.

The businessman also added that his 80-year-old father went to the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition to seek timely treatment and a medical evaluation.

Carlos Slim Helú leads a conglomerate that includes companies such as Telmex, América Móvil and Grupo Carso.
