Sindelsdorf - One injured person, two seriously damaged trucks and a federal road that was closed for hours: This is the outcome of an accident on the B472 near Sindelsdorf.

The accident occurred on Tuesday (January 23) at around 1:15 p.m. at the A95 junction near Sindelsdorf.

A 48-year-old from Freihung drove his Scania truck off the A95 motorway, heading south, and wanted to turn left towards Habach.

According to the police, he collided with the right-of-way truck of a 58-year-old Bulgarian who was traveling from Habach on the federal highway to Bichl/Bad Tölz.

The Habach, Sindelsdorf and Penzberg fire departments responded to extensive shut-off and diversion work as well as technical assistance.

Total damage of around 40,000 euros

The Bulgarian was slightly injured in the collision.

The emergency doctor and rescue service treated the truck driver on site.

The man was then taken to a hospital.

According to initial findings, he suffered bruises in the chest area, according to police.

The vehicles suffered total damage of around 40,000 euros.

Three fire departments in action

The recovery of the trucks was so difficult that the B472 had to be closed for over four hours.

Both trucks were badly damaged and were leaking fuel.

Therefore, the Habach, Sindelsdorf and Penzberg fire departments were called in for extensive closure and diversion work as well as technical assistance.

The Weilheim road maintenance department subsequently set up a diversion so that the trucks could be removed by the towing service.

Traffic was diverted until around 6 p.m.
