Change in plans.
The Israel Police issued a closure order for Doha Stadium for a week, thus leading to the postponement of the league game between Bnei Sakhnin and Betar Jerusalem, which was scheduled for tomorrow.
The reason for the closure order is the police's opposition to the tense game in the city, and Sakhnin was not helped by the justified claim that it was a game without an audience.
The league manager's request to avoid postponing the game, due to the season's tight schedule, was also denied.
Since the rules could not force Sakhnin to host on an alternative pitch, the possibility of moving the game to another place was avoided, and now the teams will wait for a new date on which the game will take place.
However, it is possible that the crowded schedule of the season will convince Sakhnin to host the game anyway tomorrow in an alternative field, and the fields in Acre and Kiryat Shmona are at stake.
