Serious falls in the women's giant slalom.
Ski superstar Petra Vlhova hits her back and head and is transported away on the rescue sled.
Jasna – “Everyone is silent, the party is over,” said ARD commentator Tobias Barnerssoi at the giant slalom in Jasna, Slovakia.
Once again there were several serious falls in the Ski World Cup.
This time, Petra Vlhova, one of the best skiers of recent years, was hit - the Olympic slalom champion was injured in her home race in Slovakia.

Vlhova made a serious inside ski error on the ninth gate in the first round.
The 28-year-old hit her back and head and landed unhappily in the safety fence.
Vlhova then grabbed her knee.
In the finish area, where thousands of fans wanted to celebrate a party for their heroine, there was suddenly an eerie silence.
The race had to be interrupted.
“Really a shame, dramatic for the big ski party in Jasna,” said ARD commentator Tobias Barnerssoi.
Meanwhile, the Kitzbühel descent also became emotional with tears after Thomas Dreßen's last run.

“The party is over”: Ski superstar is injured in a serious fall in the home race
Vlhova had to be treated on the route in the Carpathians and was transported away by Ackja, the rescue sleigh, and taken to the valley.
There, the 31-time World Cup winner painfully waved to the home crowd.
“Here she is essentially being transported away by a line of her own fans, how dramatic is that for her.
That's so bitter!", commented commentator Barnerssoi, who later remarked: "Everyone is shocked, somehow a very strange atmosphere in Jasna." An injury drama occurred in Wengen a week ago: ZDF commentator and expert Büchel raged Fury.

As Vlhova's team announced, she was taken to the hospital for examinations: “Due to the fall in the first round of the giant slalom at the World Cup in Jasna, Petra was transported to the hospital and she was stabilized.
Petra is currently undergoing medical examinations.” An exact diagnosis was initially pending.
Numerous other top athletes had major problems with the “Lukova 2” route in the Lower Tatras, with some seemingly grotesque deficits.
The Italian Federica Brignone failed with start number 1. Only the Swedish Sara Hector, Olympic champion in Beijing, coped really well with the conditions.
Before the final (1 p.m.) she is already one second ahead of US superstar Mikaela Shiffrin, who shed tears in her last slalom victory.
Third is Alice Robinson (New Zealand/+1.05).
ORF camera operator apparently fell
The race started late due to the fall of a forerunner.
The former world-class athlete Nicole Hosp (Austria), who works as a camera operator for ORF, is also said to have fallen.
According to her broadcaster, she was also injured.
