Three days after its elimination in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France against Valenciennes (2-1), Paris FC intends to get back on its feet in Ligue 2. This Tuesday (8:45 p.m.), the Ile-de-France residents travel to Laval to try to get closer to the podium and continue their unbeaten streak in the championship, now five games long.
Before the stoppage in the North of France, Stéphane Gilli's men were indeed riding an excellent dynamic, which allowed them to move up to eighth place in Ligue 2, just five points from the podium.
“The players are very concerned and we all want to get points, goals and keep this series of invincibility,” the coach said at the start of the week.
Our performance is what allows us to be here today.
We want to continue to raise our level of play.”
The club will thus pass a real test against Laval, whose trajectory is diametrically opposed to Paris FC in recent weeks.
After an excellent start to the season, the Tangos went five games without a victory in the league, which pushed them back to fourth place... But they have just knocked down Ligue 1 side FC Nantes in the Coupe de France (0- 1).
Between direct competitors on the way up, the meeting therefore takes on increased interest.
Laval-Paris FC will kick off this Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. and the match will be watched on the Amazon Prime Video multiplex.
