Thus, the killer at Perpignan station has since retracted his confession. Last August, at the scene of Isabelle Mesnage's death, her memory would have played tricks on her. Material elements seem, however, beyond the killer's confession, to incriminate Jacques Rançon in the death of Isabelle Mesnage. The young woman's body had been mutilated. "Characteristic" injuries according to certain experts who were able to analyze photos of the body but also to examine it after its exhumation.
