After being rejected due to weather conditions - this evening (Saturday) the spaceX spacecraft was launched into space. The first phase of launching the private spacecraft to the space station has passed safely.
History: Space X's spacecraft successfully launched
It was a Dragon-type spacecraft, which was supposed to go into space last Wednesday, but due to severe weather conditions in the vicinity of the Florida state launch site, the date was postponed.
High hopes are hanging of the spacecraft, as this is the first time since 2011 when a manned spacecraft will be launched from US soil. This is also the first time in history that a private company launches a spacecraft manned to the space station. US President Donald Trump and his deputy Mike Pence have come to watch the launch.
NASA's two astronauts are Bob Bankan and Doug Hurley. The two will be launched into space on a Falcon 9 launch pad developed by Space X developer and billionaire Elon Musk.
In the meantime, under normal circumstances, the launch might have attracted a large audience, as with any US space agency launch, but given the fact that the US Corona virus is raging in the US as well, the current event takes place without spectators to prevent mass infection.
