A cyclist died Wednesday evening in Paris after being struck by a motorist fleeing the police, a police source told AFP.
Around 6.30 p.m., police officers in the car wanted to check a motorist. As the police got out of their vehicle, the motorist fled.
Pursued by the police, the fugitive's car then struck a cyclist at the crossroads of Boulevard Raspail and Boulevard Montparnasse in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.
The cyclist died. The motorist was arrested and taken into custody.
